Another day in paradise...

You know that place I mentioned in my last video that'd be kinda similar to Cape Verde?

Well, here it is: I'm in the Maldives.

But, at least going by this one blessed little hotel island of Hembadhoo, the Maldives are better than Cape Verde. The climate is more tropical, the nature is more lush and less desert-y, and there are all kinds of animals. (By the way, that was a stork in the video, not a heron. Excuse me all to Hell.) The water not only has a perfect swimming temperature in fucking FEBRUARY, it's also some of the most turquoise-blue water in which I've ever had the unambiguous pleasure of waggling around every day for a perfectly blissful week.

Obviously I've only got Hembadhoo out of all the ~200 inhabited Maldives to go by – again, out of all the +1100 actual Maldives in existence (at least given the current ocean level). But if this one is in any way representative of the nation as a whole, and if you haven't done a lot of tropical island-traveling, I'd say go for what might be a lifetime experience – it was for me. You probably couldn't afford this hotel (#humblebragging) but you have plenty of other Maldives to choose from.
