Should you go to Sri Lanka or not? Depends...
In this video, I share some things that are nice to know if you wanna go to Sri Lanka, and also why I might have been more excited about visiting it if I'd done it during the earlier stages of my nomad lifestyle.
As you can see, the nature is wonderful. And something I'm not mentioning is that there's a lot of good snorkeling opportunities. During the right seasons, you can see whales and turtles. We only managed to catch the latter, but they were adorable. We also went on a safari, on which we saw elephants, crocodiles, peacocks, and a helluva lot of deer. Unfortunately, the leopards didn't come out. I guess maybe they didn't hear us calling...
Because, you know...
Get it?!? HUH?!?
As I'm also mentioning, the one big downside is that public renovation is practically non-existent. There's poverty and garbage virtually everywhere – even out in some of the otherwise more pristine nature areas. The traffic and its pollution are horrendous. The tuk-tuk drivers are annoyingly invasive and pushy, and Colombo might be the dirtiest capital I've ever visited.
However, if you A) haven't been to Sri Lanka before, if you B) really want to go here, and if you C) haven't traveled a whole lot – or at all – in Asia, I would say go, go, go. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend Vietnam, Thailand, or Laos.
As I'm also saying, this is gonna be the last travel video from yours truly in a while, unless perhaps I do a short European business trip in the coming month. But as always, stick around for reviews and articles.
... I mean, if you want. I'd be honored, though.
